What To Wear

So, you scheduled your session and you start getting all excited about being a model for a day. Then it hits you. The %u201Cwhat am I going to wear moment%u201D. For me this is usually followed by the %u201CI need to go shopping moment%u201D. Steve, always the voice of reason, is the one to bring me back to earth and tell me that I probably have something that will work just fine. In this case I am here to be your voice of reason. Here are our %u201Cwhat to wear%u201D guidelines for the ladies, gents, and even those cute little people who don%u2019t know how to put on their own pants yet:

1) Wear something you feel good in. If you don%u2019t like your outfit you probably won%u2019t like your pictures.

2) Stick to Solid Colors or Simple Patterns. Wild patterns are very distracting.

3) Dress from head to toe. Shoes and simple accessories can make the outfit.

4) If you are being photographed with other people (engagement, family, etc.) you should wear outfits with similar colors or with the same accent color.

5) Be aware of your location. Urban environments are well suited to edgy outfits, while a park or natural setting is a good place for simplicity.

6) Bring a few choices. We recommend bringing at least one dressy and one casual outfit.

7) Bring any props that are important to you. Favorite sports gear, hobby, pet, anything that says %u201Cyou%u201D!

8) When in doubt%u2026bring it along. We are more than happy to help you select the perfect outfit.
